Mr.G.J Manohar Headmaster and Correspondent of MCC Higher Secondary School, received the “National Award” for the Best Teacher from the Vice –President Shri.Venkaiah Naidu in New Delhi on 5th September 2017.He also took part in the dinner hosted by the President of India.

He is awarded this highest award for a teacher, for his untiring efforts to uplift the student community.He takes special care for the academically weak students,irrespective of their family backgrounds.

He already received the state award for the best teacher “Dr.Radhakrishnan Award” in the year 2012.

BRITISH COUNCIL’S INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD 2018 – 2021

The British council’s International school award is a benchmarking scheme that accredits schools as having an outstanding level of support for leading and nurturing intercultural understanding and appreciation of sustainable dimension goals in students and enriching teaching and learning.Teachers develop collaborative curriculum projects that help students to engage positively with global issues.Madras Christian College higher secondary school applied for the accreditation in 2016 and received the award in the year 2017 on 4th December 2014 at New Delhi.Having Completed the period 2014 – 2017, the applied for the reaccredation and received the award on 4th Dec 2018 in a cermonious function held at The Taj, Yashwantpur, Bangalore. Mr.A.R.Daniel Jayaseelan, the co-ordinator and Mr.D.Jaison Arputharaj received the award for the school on behalf of the Headmaster. The success of obtaining the award is yet another milestone in the Leadership of our Headmaster and correspondent, Mr.G.J.Manohar and his guidance and constant motivation to both the students and teachers to carryout activities pertaining to ISA award programme.
