Our school held the National Service Scheme (NSS) camp from September26 to October 2, focusing on fostering social responsibility among students.Highlights included a health talk by Dr. Raghunathan, a Traffic Rules Awareness Program, and a tree planting initiative with Pasumai Padai.Participants also visited an old-age home, engaged in beach cleaning, andcleaned a local night school and the school campus. An ISRO satellite launch was attended by our school students onNovember 2nd at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre inSrihari Kota. India's first communication satellite, which waslaunched from India and weighed approximately 4,400 kg, wasfeatured in the mission. The ISRO Satellite launch was visited byrank holders and LASER Competition winners from our schooland various other schools.
Students were excited to witness a rocket launch, which inspired apassion for space science. The event emphasized perseverance andexcellence, reflecting the school's values. They interacted withscientists and engineers, gaining insights into satellite technologyand mission planning. This hands-on experience illustrated theapplication of classroom knowledge in real-world scenarios. On 05 June our school Eco club planted saplings in our school campus to celebrate World Environment Day. QR scanners are placed on old trees, allowing users to scan and learn about them, blending creativity and technology to enhance our understanding of nature.
On 21st June, our teachers conducted a special Yoga class for students to develop and teach them the importance of practicing Yoga and its significance for physical and mental health.
Adhiyan P.N successfully completed the Esromagica space camp ignition conducted from May 20th to May 31st, 2025, at EsroMagica, Pune. He is certified and awarded under the authority of the International Board of Space Education, representing 80 sovereign nations. He was recognized for his outstanding accomplishments and active participation in the field of space science and technology.
During summer, while students enjoyed fresh produce, teachers participated in a Faculty Development Program (FDP) by E&ICT focusing on integrating modern technology into education. This five-day event took place at Madras Christian College, Tambaram. Thanks to the Headmaster and management for supporting educators in enhancing their skills.
Representatives from four Japanese universities discussed courses, career opportunities, and life in Japan, inspiring students to consider studying abroad. Praveen, a Nursing student in Germany, shared how MCC School supported his journey, emphasizing perseverance. His story illustrated the impact of education on global success. The session ended with an engaging Q&A, showcasing students' interest in international opportunities and aspirations.
The Investiture Ceremony took place on June 20th 2025, in the school auditorium. The Chief Guest for the program was Mr. P.C.R. Suresh and the guest of honor was Mr. Chendilvel. The dignitaries were honored by the Assistant Headmasters. The Headmaster and Correspondent Mr. G. Jebadoss Thinakaran welcomed the attendees. Dr. G.J. Manohar, Secretary, MCC Association, led the school prayer. Mr. D. Jaison Arputharaj presented the Cultural Club report, followed by the release of the school magazine “Impressions,” with the first copy given to retired PG Maths teacher Mr. N. Chendhilvel.
