A special tree sapling plantation campaign was organized by the eco club of MCC school on 12th June 2024 with the aim of creating awareness among the students about deforestation and its adverse effects on nature to keep our environment clean and green. Under the special campaign Mr.G.Jebadoss Thinakaran, Headmaster, eco club heads Mr. David Raja, Mrs.Navaneetham and students planted tree advocating the message "Each One Plant One". The day saw students participating with Zest and zeal in the MCC campus.
To create awareness about the hazards of plastic bags among the students and public and to observe World Environment Day MCC School initiated மஞ்சள் பை தினம் on 12th June 2024. A large number of students and teachers came forward to give their tremendous support to this program. The headmaster of MCC School Mr.G Jebadoss Thinakaran delivered his motivational and informative thoughts about the program. Some students also gave their valuable thoughts. Atlast the students along with the teachers took out the rally to the nearby locality carrying banners, placards with various slogans that insisted on usage of bags made of cloth, paper and jute instead of these dangerous non-biodegradable plastic bags. It was a heartfelt moment when the school correspondent Dr. G.J Manohar was crossing by the school and was stopped and given a bag. Then the public was distributed with eco-friendly மஞ்சள் பை.
Students of standard 9 and 10 along with social science faculty visited the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly on 20th June 2024 to observe the proceedings of the question hour. The visit provided the students with an educational opportunity to learn about the proceedings of the legislative assembly. This visit is a preliminary step to enable the students with an education to get acquainted with the assembly. question sessions and how it is conducted. The teachers felt that this visit would enable the students to stage youth legislative assembly.
On 10th June 2024 10 of us from class 9 visited the collector's office at Chengalpattu to witness their day to day affairs. we had many ideas in our minds of how the collector office would be, but what we saw was entirely different. The collector's office was a place where everyone had their complaints and grievances addressed. We saw the grievance day program. Department of Social welfare and District Registrate. The collector was giving advice as well as suggestions. Each complaint and grievance was dispatched to that particular department. The officers were instructed to redress the issues as early as possible. The whole day was a very busy one. It was a good experience and also a motivating one. We silently vowed to become officers like them. It was wonderful experience.

August 20, 2024, the much-anticipated event, "CALYPSO 2K24," finally took place, showcasing a remarkable display of talent and enthusiasm. The event's trailer, a tribute to the dedication and hard work of the MCC, set the stage for a day filled with excitement. Eight schools participated in a series of thrilling events, including Quizaholic, FIFA, Air Crash, Cooking without Fire, Soccer Leashed, and Photography, among others. Each event was met with enthusiastic participation and showcased the diverse talents of the students. The cultural meet was honored by the presence of notable guests: Mr. Jolly Abraham (Singer), proud alumnus of the batch of 1990 Mr. Prashanth Thiyagarajan (Actor and Businessman), Mrs. Vidyulekha Raman, (Actress and Comedian), Mr. Blessen Sabu, (Singer and Music Producer) who served as the esteemed guest of honor. The presence of Mr. Prashanth Thiyagarajan created an electrifying atmosphere in the auditorium, energizing the entire event. The highlight of the day was the prize distribution ceremony, where Alpha Mat. Hr. Sec. School secured the overall second position, and Don Bosco Mat. Hr. Sec. School claimed the top spot as the overall winners. The high energy and engagement from the guests and participants made CALYPSO 2K24 a truly unforgettable event. On 16th September 2024, the inauguration of the waste water recycling and reuse system. The chief guest, Mr. Thiru. Siva. V. Meyyanathan, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, inaugurated the sewage water treatment plant. The plant was initiated by 1974 batch and sponsored by Dr. J. R. Moses, CEO of Hubert environment care system Pvt. Ltd, and an alumnus of the 1974 batch, emphasizing the significance of water conservation and environmental protection. He endorsed the waste water treatment project for being a flawless system towards the sustainability management. Our campus therefore makes way to the growth and development of new alternatives, furthermore making it ever green and pleasant surroundings.

September 5th – Teachers day was indeed a special day for all the teachers as Dr. Kalanidhi Veeraswamy M.P. extended his generous hands by donating ten water dispenser to supply cold, moderate and hot water in all the staff rooms. The Science project day was organized on 18-10-2024. The students took part enthusiastically, more than 250 exhibits were displayed and first three best projects were selected from each standards and the students were given the prizes.
